QUALITY ASSURANCE

HWEL is an ISO - 9001 certified company. Its quality system consists of two parts:

• Quality Assurance (Q.A)
• Quality Control (Q.C)

Quality Assurance:

This is an independent of other units and cannot be over-ruled by any one of them with the exception of HWEL Chief Executive and then only with code and technical justification. The QA prepares inspection procedures prior to production paying special attention to the standard and required specification already agreed upon with the customer and submits the same to the relevant quality control unit for execution.

The QA is duty-bound to upgrade quality of the products and make sure that the inspections are carried out strictly in compliance with the relevant Quality Plan. It is also responsible to inspect all incoming and outgoing products / material and is authorized to approve or disapprove them based on the standard and specifications required. Furthermore, it issues as inspection certificate for the product based on DIN / BS.

Quality Control:

This controls our production process on the basis of the Quality Plan already prepared by the QA and with special attention to the drawings and technical specifications made available by the Engineering unit of the relevant Group.
The QA provides the customer with a final inspection book for the finished product, which includes the following depending on the product requirement;

• Quality Control plan
• Material Summary report
• Material Certificate
• Welding procedure specifications (WPS)
• Procedure qualification record (PQR)
• Radiography Test report & Welder’s tractability
• Ultrasonic Test report
• Heat Treatment chart
• Visual and Dimensional Test report
• Reinforcing Pads Air Soap Test report
• Procedure Test report
• Hardness Test report
• Sandblasting & Painting Test report
• Name-Plate print
• Assembly Drawings (as Built)
